Oma Baatbyggeri is a family owned company, which was founded in 1909. Having gained nearly 70 years of experience with the use of aluminium, the company emerges today as a leader in the development, design and construction of lightweight, high-speed aluminium catamarans. Fast Ferries engineered and built by Oma Baatbyggeri are the most energy efficient measured in kWh / passenger km. Continuous development with a very strong focus on weight, hull design and equipment selection has pushed our designs to the forefront when it comes to low energy consumption. The building blocks in our design is continued focus on technological development, seaworthiness, low weight and low fuel consumption.
